The Calvary Chapel School of Worship
is a NINE MONTH CERTIFICATION
program developed to facilitate those who believe God is calling them into the music ministry. Our purpose is to encourage, equip, and engage the gifts each to become musically capable and spiritually mature in their calling.
"As each one has
RECEIVED A GIFT
minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God...If
anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all
things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory
and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11

A Ministry of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa
Unfortunately we are a small self-sufficient school; therefore we are not able to offer any financial aid or scholarships. However we do offer an affordable payment plan that consists of an initial deposit of $500 at the beginning of each semester with two payments of $275 during each semester (with an additional $200 for books).
No, the School of Worship is not an accredited school. The Philosophy of Ministry at Calvary Chapel is to offer biblical courses and ministry classes that are unregulated by the state and free from certain influences. We also desire to make the school affordable and accessible to the man or woman who simply wants to be trained and equipped for ministry. The School of Worship does offer a certificate of completion that acknowledges the hard work and faithfulness of each student.
Because the school is not accredited, most of the classes are not transferable to a secular college. However, some Bible Colleges ministries do consider allowing some of the credits to be transferable depending on their affiliation and philosophy of ministry. If you have specific questions about transferability of credits, call the Registrar’s Office of the institution you desire to attend.
Yes. We do accept international students and would love the opportunity to encourage them in their gifts. However, since we are not an accredited school Visa’s can be hard to obtain. It is the responsibility of the student (upon acceptance) to prayerfully seek how to obtain a visa. We would caution you to not purchase your flights or make any financial commitments until you have obtained a secure visa. We would also encourage any international students to start this process a year in advance.
No. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer “on campus” housing for accepted students. It would the responsibility of each student to find and secure their own living arrangements. However we do have a select amount of families that open their home to students or will rent out affordable rooms. We do try to help the students connect as best we can to proper living arrangements.
No. There is not an age requirement. However, we do require each student must have a minimum completion of high school or a G.E.D. Program. Some Home School students are able to attend their senior year if a majority of their High School workload is already completed (These exceptions must exibit a higher level of spiritual maturity that would enable them to focus in this environment).
Though the school does not hold auditions, a certain level of experience and music knowledge is required for each student to be able to grow and complete the program. We try and evaluate that needed level to the best of our ability during our application and screening possess. The program does require students to have some musical foundation and ability in order to participate and pass.
